Set of 4 20th Century wood and metal engraved matrices displaying West Coast geographies. A matrix, in the printmaking context, is used with ink to cast an image or letter. The image is etched or engraved using metal forms embedded within a woodblock. 20th century architecture and design firms used these matrices in creating maps, drawings, and plans.
